Minister Tegra Owens
Coordinator of Safety and Security
Minister Tegra Owens was born and raised in Bakersfield. Tegra gave her life to Christ as her Savior and was baptized as an adult. She submitted under the teaching and leadership of the late Pastor Ted Johnson and Pastor Martha Johnson of Compassion Christian Center, Bakersfield, California. She and her husband were appointed directors of the Youth group V.O.P. and taught in children’s church under the leadership of Pastor Stephen Johnson, Word of Life Ministries.
For many years Tegra served her community as a salon owner and local hair stylist before she became employed by the State of California in Corrections. During the years, her desire to grow and mature in the Lord lead her to rededicate her life to Christ in 2016. She began to seek Him for the deeper purpose she knew the Lord had for her. She and her husband joined Freedom Worship Center, Bakersfield, California where she has been challenged to pursue God in a profound way and has grown under the leadership and covering of Pastors Trenton and Kanule Martin.
Tegra became a licensed minister on December 31, 2018 officiated and confirmed by Pastors Trenton and Kanule Martin. Minister Tegra is continuing to grow and blossom as a woman determined to fulfill God’s will for her life. She serves on Freedom Worship Center’s prayer team and she also assists Bridgett Barnes Ministries in the areas of prayer, safety and security under the leadership of Prophetess Bridgett Barnes, Bakersfield, California.
Minister Tegra is happily married to Minister Craig Owens for 35 years and she is a proud mother of two adult sons and they currently reside in Bakersfield, California.
